Why Learn to Scuba Dive?
In today's hectic world it is all too easy to get lost in the hustle and bustle of a busy society and, because of this, we easily forget that there is still wonder and magic left in the world; that there are still mysterious places to be explored and adventures to be had. Taking scuba diving lessons can open up a whole new world to you in ways that you never dreamed possible.
So why should you learn to scuba dive?
It's a Sport for Everyone:
Scuba diving is a sport, but unlike any other on earth. Unlike many sports, you do not have to be in top physical condition to participate. Diving is great for people of a variety of ages, health levels, and skills and, unlike a lot of sports, you do not have to worry about a lot of stressful impact on your joints since being in the water is very low-impact.
This is not to imply there aren't some risks involved in diving, but that is why it is very important to take scuba diving lessons with qualified and experienced Instructors -- so that you are properly trained in how to keep yourself safe, along with those diving with you. When done properly, scuba diving can be one of the most refreshing and exhilarating sports on earth.
For the Adventure:
The world beneath the surface is so unlike anything that you encounter in your daily life. There is a vast wonder of treasure to discover -- from colorful natural reefs, to sunken ships and mysterious caves. There are wondrous inhabitants to greet you when you enter into this strange new world. Every dive holds something unique. No two dives are ever the same and every dive presents you with a new adventure.
For the Ultimate Escapist Experience:
When you are immersed in the blue world of wonder, far away from mobile phones and traffic jams, from your deadlines and personal worries... there is nothing between you and nature. To experience the underwater world is truly an experience unlike anything you can imagine.
Taking time out to connect with nature, to step away from the craziness of your everyday life, allows you the opportunity to re-centre yourself. Taking care of your mind and spirit are just as important to your overall health as caring for your body is. So scuba diving can help you to reduce stress, lower your blood pressure and improve your general health and well-being.
Whichever reason motivates you the most, the benefits you will gain if you learn to scuba dive will last you a lifetime.
So get ready for an amazing adventure by taking your first steps into scuba diving with DiveLife today...
Why DiveLife
At DiveLife we take our training seriously. We have a team of dedicated professionals who are either employed full time at the facility or are instructors in other fields outside of diving. All our instructors have taught as part of a team for the first 6 months at DiveLife to be assured they reach our own standards. After all, they are in charge of your life. As each of our current instructors has progressed through our ranks we can be sure that they work as an efficient part of our team and that not only reach the minimum PADI standards but also that DiveLife’s exacting standards are reached. That said, as much as safety is paramount, so is fun.
All our courses are taught in kit less than one year old, with the exception of drysuits which are replaced every 2-3 years. This goes hand in hand with our comprehensive hire department which has 40 drysuits, 30 Cressi bcds, 25 sets of Apeks regulators as well as countless other equipment such as stills and video cameras, scooters and rebreathers. All specialist equipment which is over 12 months old is serviced in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations.
Drysuits are used as standard on all courses as we feel adequate thermal protection is needed for you to dive safely in the UK. Full training is given, at no extra cost, in the use of drysuits whilst learning with DiveLife. For those who already dive and come to us for training, the use of a drysuit can easily be integrated into any further training you wish to complete.
Last but not least is the fun. Although safety is what keeps us diving, the fun is what interested us in the first place. That sense of freedom and weightlessness along with the enthusiasm to explore the underwater world is why we wanted to start diving. With small classes of no more than four students and both male and female instructors from 21 to 65, we are sure there will be an Instructor who will fit in with your way of learning and at your pace.
