This is where all budding underwater photographers should start out – getting to know the how the camera works. This unit is a basic insight into the terminology of photography, what it all means and how it works with your camera. It includes a short workshop with practical application, where you can see how all the variables interact with each other.
What will I do?
This classroom based module will be taught by a professional underwater photographer, you will learn about basic settings such as f-stop, ISO, shutter speed and how they affect the image that you take. This is essential unit will give you confidence to experiment with manual setting underwater to get the results you want. You will get a chance to try out this new information in a workshop at the end of the session, working with an artificial reef in the classroom.
How long will it take?
This module is a 2 hour session, as well as pool and open water session
What will I need?
You will need to bring your camera and underwater housing (although if you have not chosen your camera yet, then we can supply one for this module so that you can get practical experience as well as just the theory)

Now it is time to sign up for the remaining modules to get the Frogfish Photography: The Complete Underwater Photographer Award and the INON Academy Level 1. You will be able to bring home great memories of your diving in the UK and abroad.
