The DiveLife GO PRO Platinum Course has been designed to take you from a non-diver through the PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer level being able to teach 10 PADI Speciality Courses and to IDC Staff Instructor . This course also gives you maximum exposure through your training to all the programmes offered by PADI through DiveLife.

What do I need to start?

All materials will be provided forthis course. You will need to purchase a full set of diving kit through your training up to Rescue and Master Scuba Diver. Once you reach Divemaster training you will be expected, as any professional would, to have your own equipment

What will I do?

This package will take you from your current starting point as a non-diver through the PADI Master Scuba Diver Program to PADI IDC Staff Instructor.
You will be taught from the outset, not just to pass each course, but to perfect each skill necessary with the ultimate goal of becoming an Instructor in mind.

The GO PRO Platinum program takes you through the PADI Open Water Course, Advanced Open Water Course, EFR, First Aid and Rescue Courses.

Also included in the GO PRO Platinum package are eleven speciality courses to help you learn more about being a PADI Professional. These include Drysuit, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Project Aware, National Geographic and Equipment Specialities. We have chosen these to give you a good foundation in UK diving and to help perfect you skills, learn about the environment and how to maintain some equipment found in Dive Centres.

We also include some of the more adventurous Speciality Courses that give you a more rounded experience of diving in the UK. These include Wreck, Deep, Enriched Air Nitrox, Navigation, Multilevel and Nitrox and Trimix Gas Blending.

The next course takes you through the PADI Divemaster program which ensures a broad spectrum of theory is covered as well as giving you the opportunity to perfect your skills to demonstration quality and supervise students and guiding divers.

Once you have completed the Divemaster Course the next step is learning to pass on your knowledge to students through becoming an Instrcutor. This is split into two distinct sections, the Assistant Instructor Course and the Instructor Development Course, which are usually taken relatively closely together. Both these courses teach you how to teach the knowledge you gained whilst completing your training through to Divemaster.
The Assistant Instructor course guides you through teaching both the theory and the confined water skills.

The Instructor Development course then leads you on to teaching in Open Water and continuing education skills allowing you to teach through to Divemaster level.

Once the IDC has been completed you can then apply to PADI to take The Instrcutor Exam (IE) which will allow you to qualify to become a PADI Open Water Instructor.

The next step is the Master Scuba Diver Trainer Course. The preparation course is taken to help you understand the principles of teaching the PADI Speciality Courses you have already been a student on. Once the MST Prep Course has been taken you will get the opportunity to team teach for six months under the supervision of an experienced DiveLife instructor and gain the necessary 25 student certifications so you may apply for the MSDT rating.

If you have enrolled on this program you will have had the intention from the outset to become the best at what you want to do.

The IDC Staff Instructor Course takes you through to that level, allowing you to teach Divemaster Candidates and take them through their Assistant Instructor course.

Once you have reached the level of IDC Staff Instructor you can only progress through experience and hard work. There are few people at this level and you will be held in high regard. Reaching this level will have meant you have demonstrated the ability to work well as part of a team, listen, learn and impart that knowledge to other. Your practical skills will be second-to-none and your knowledge of every aspect of recreational diving will shine through. Students will come to you because of your knowledge and in the hope they will be able to learn what you have learned.
This is when you have become a true PADI Professional. A life dedicated to helping others learn what you have learned and help them experience what you have also experienced.

How long will it take?

A realistic timescale of three years is needed to reach the level of IDC Staff Instructor and gain the experience necessary along the way

What will I need?

A sense of adventure

Where can I go from here?

The next level of PADI Master Instrcutor can only be attained through the experience of teaching.
You may also choose to take the path of Technical Instructor where the darkness beckons
