About DiveLife

Overview

Started in 2003, DiveLife has grown to become one of the UK’s most comprehensive Dive Centres.  We moved in 2009 to our current premises which total 4500sqft with secure parking for over 40 cars. One of the great draws to DiveLife is the easy access and close proximity to major transport networks. We are at J17 on the M60 which means we are also one junction from the M61/M66/M62 and only 15 minutes from the M6. At less than 40 minutes from both Leeds, Liverpool, Preston and Chester, we are in the heart of the North West.

The Website

Our website is one of the most visited diving websites in the UK and as our content stretches beyond just being a retail store to be a diving resource website, we continue to grow month on month. We are continually implementing new features such as 3d flash imaging, video and multiple images available through our ongoing investment program. Reviews are added on a weekly basis and we have RSS feeds, a Blog, a Facebook Group and Facebook Page as well as keeping you up to date through online Tweets.

The Centre

Our shop sells equipment from over 140 manufacturers and we are Premier retailers for most of the suppliers we deal with including being a Halcyon Showroom Dealer.  We have one of the largest stocks of  diving equipment in the UK and specialise in next day delivery on many of our items. We have always had a good understanding of technical diving and the associated equipment and manufacturers often use us for consultation during product development. We have the largest range of wings in stock in the UK with ten different brands and over 30 different wings and carry all regulators from all the major manufacturers. We also have a full range of suits in all sizes from 2.5mm shorties through lycra skins to semidry’s and drysuits.

Diver Training

Our training facility provides training for every major UK training agency. We are a PADI 5 Star Dive Centre and National Geographic Centre and we offer all PADI courses including some of the more obscure such as Ice and Cavern Diver. We are an IANTD Platinum Facility offering a full range of Technical and Rebreather Courses through to Instructor level.  We are also a BSAC Technical and Seamanship Centre and can offer a full range of BSAC Technical, Rebreather and Seamanship Courses as well as personally tailored programs for those needing individual tuition. Courses are also offered from TDI, PSAi, RAID, EFR and GUE.

Hire

All our courses are taught in kit less than one year old, with the exception of drysuits which are replaced every 2-3 years. This goes hand in hand with our comprehensive hire department which has  40 drysuits, 30 Cressi  bcds, 25 sets of Apeks regulators as well as countless other equipment such as stills and video cameras, scooters and rebreathers. All specialist equipment which is over 12 months old is serviced in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations.

Servicing

We service all manufacturers equipment including regulators, BCDs, wetsuits and drysuits. Our suit testing facility is the most comprehensive in the North West. We are an IDEST Test Centre and can test all cylinders including aluminium, steel and carbon fibre wound cylinders. We have a dedicated team of three service staff who are assessed independently on a regular basis to make sure that all standards are adhered to and that equipment is serviced to manufacturers’ requirements. All the team have been on specialist independent and specific manufacturers courses for the equipment they service.
