Halcyon Pathfinder Primary Reel

The Pathfinder reel is extremely tough. Its made from delrin - so its not heavy in the water like steel , or floaty like a plastic reel. There is one large handle for four fingers get through so that you have a strong positive grip on the reel. The handle is in an ideal location so that if you like to swim/scooter and reel out as you go - your thumb can reach to put a bit of friction on the spinning reel to prevent the reel getting jammed! A single screw down nut locks the reel, this can be used to put friction on the reel, but I don't suggest it as it will quickly wear down the delrin that makes up the spool part of the reel. There is a "loop" at the top of the reel so that the cable can only come out of the reel in one direction - even if the reel does jam or become a mess! Overall the Pathfinder is an amazing reel, extremely tough and durable, yet easy to handle - I highly recommend it for anyone who operates in low vis, or conditions that require mandatory navigation.
