Halcyon Explorer Wing
Halcyon offers the Explorer wing for double tank diving . The Explorer wings are available in two lift capacities to satisfy various buoyancy requirements, and are able to accommodate a wide range of tank sizes, exposure protection, and equipment requirements. Halcyon explorer wings are available in 40 lbs. (18kg), and 55 lbs. (25kg) lift capacities.
Explorer wings have been slightly modified over the years for even greater streamlining and efficiency. The Explorer wing is slightly narrower and longer, with a reduced buoyancy tube behind the neck to minimize heads-up trim. In addition, the inflator elbow is located in the back center of the wing to eliminate hitting the tank neck during full inflation.
Halcyon's Explorer wing is still made from the most rugged materials available for a buoyancy compensator. The 400 denier nylon bladder has a tighter weave and is therefore more puncture resistant than a broad weave. The Explorer's 1680 ballistic nylon outer shell is designed for maximum abrasion resistance. The two materials used together offer the best protection from damage in any wing design.
Heavy-duty zipper has a three-inch wide strip of Cordura to prevent zipper chaff on the inner bladder
Two-inch webbing-reinforced backbone construction
"Trap-door" drainage system allows water to drain rapidly from the outer cover to minimize excess weight and diver effort reboarding the dive boat
Inflator elbow strain relief constructed from two-inch nylon webbing minimizes wear on this connection
Narrower, elongated construction improves streamlining and trim
Relocated corrugated hose eliminates stress from impact with tanks
All Explorer wings are CE-certified for sale in the European Community
The Explorer wings can be mated with either the Halcyon hard-coated aluminum or six pound stainless steel backplate, providing divers with a variety of weighting solutions. The 40 lbs. Explorer wings provide a minimalist approach to buoyancy where double aluminum 80s and a wetsuit are the rig of choice. The widely popular 55 lbs. Explorer wings are ideally suited for use with situations requiring additional lift such as with heavy double steel tanks.
All Halcyon Pioneer, Eclipse, Explorer, and Evolve MC Systems, as well as individual wings, come outfitted with a non-serviceable OEM power inflator. The Halcyon Precision Inflator is available as an option for divers seeking a low-speed, user-serviceable inflator for their buoyancy compensator. New for 2006, the Halcyon Precision inflator utilizes nickel-plated brass valve components to provide for longer service intervals in marine environments

Halcyon customers have come to rely on the functional design and reliability of the Halcyon manifold. Available as a rugged 230 bar DIN isolator manifold featuring shock absorbing ribbed rubber hand wheels and a true double barrel o-ring isolator seal. The Halcyon valve has a "radial" seal o-ring, with split back-up ring. This radial o-ring maintains a seal on the stem and inner diameter of the bonnet nut at all times, regardless of the valve being open or closed.
Halcyon DIR Gauge & 24" HP hose
It's just what you would expect in a DIR SPG: low tech, reliable, and accurate. The classic heavy-duty brass housing and tempered glass lens will stand up to any environment, while the easy-to-read gauge face can be ordered with either BAR (0-360) markings.
24" hp hose included
2 x ATX40 DIN regulators
One with a 2.1m hose and one with a 60cm hose
The ATX40/DS4 features a smaller, lighter, lower profile 2nd stage than the TX40 2nd stage.
We believe that your regulator should be as flexible as you are. So the ATX40 retains our well proven diver adjustable venturi together with a 'technician-adjustable' balanced second stage and balanced first stage. The combination of this second stage and the DRY SEALED first stage offers an excellent regulator for diving anywhere in the world at a very competitive price. The design of our second stage offers a smooth breathe which enhances your dive enjoyment.
First Stage
- No swivel turret
- 4 medium pressure ports, 4 x 3/8" UNF
- 1 high pressure ports, 1 x 7/16" UNF
- Environmentally dry sealed system
- Polished chrome finish
- Balanced for superior performance
Second Stage
- Pneumatically balanced system - reduces breathing effort
- Heat exchanger for cold water diving
- Integrated Venturi Control
- Micro adjuster
- Extremely efficient exhaust valve
- Compact integrated exhaust
- 25% lighter than TX models
- Comfo Bite mouthpiece - for comfort and to reduce jaw fatigue
