ALADIN 2G is a clear example of relentless development at SCUBAPRO.
Engineered for technical divers who want specific features for total freedom in full
safety, and for recreational divers who appreciate detailed, yet easily accessible
information, but want the possibility to evolve in the sport. The ALADIN 2G
combines a sophisticated algorithm with the compact size and accessibility of the
Aladin family.
New to the ALADIN 2G:
PDIS (Profile Dependent Intermediate Stops)
optimizes your dive in complete security. The PDIS option
calculates an intermediate stop based on how much nitrogen uptake your body has
endured, taking into account your current dive, previous dives and breathing mixes. PDIS is a unique scientific application
for safer, more optimized diving in both the recreational and technical arena.
APNEA Mode
with unique features: this mode includes faster sampling rates, manual start,
current depth, maximum depth, dive time in minutes and seconds, water temperature, ascent and descent speed,
APNEA specific alarms and warnings, adjustable water density and an APNEA specific logbook.
• New modern look
round buttons
Aladin Features:
• Predictive Multi-Gas: Allows you to enjoy the full benefits of carrying high oxygen concentration mixes in
addition to your main breathing gas.
• Gauge mode — operates as technical depth gauge to a depth of 120m, with one-press stop watch
function. Unique in the diving industry, in this mode it displays a continuously updated average depth,
which can be reset by the diver at any time.
• Active backlight with push-on, push-off function.
• Bookmark function during dive — highlight specific moments with a simple button press and add
comments in the SmartTRAK profile later.
• Altimeter accurately measures altitude with a 15m resolution. The altitude alarm alerts the diver when
approaching an altitude incompatible with saturation status due to a recent dive.
• Nitrox settings between 21% and 100% in 1% increments
• Full watch functions and a basic choice of adjustments without the need of a PC.
• Adjustable ppO2 between 1.0 and 1.6bar
SCUBAPRO first appeared in the scuba diving world in the early 1960's. It was guided by two men, Gustav Dalla Valle and Dick Bonin. They brought to the market many innovations for diving that are still being used today. The 1964 catalog featured everything the diver could want, including regulators, recompression chambers, and submarines. In 1965 the first version of the Jet fin first appeared. After 40 years the fin is still popular with technical and military divers worldwide and is one of the most copied scuba products ever sold. In 1966 the catalog also added the Automatic Decompression meter, a forerunner to the modern dive computer. Back mount BC's, weight integrated systems, the Classic style STAB jacket, and other innovations continued to be introduced throughout the years.
UWATEC was founded in 1983 in Hallwil, in the heart of Switzerland. In 1987 they introduced their first dive computer, the Aladin PRO. It was quickly established as the standard in the industry. By the early 1990s, UWATEC was synonymous for diving computers. Joining Johnson Outdoors and SCUBAPRO in 1997, UWATEC continues to be a leading innovator in the industry.
Today, SCUBAPRO UWATEC remains a premier manufacturer of scuba diving equipment and employs over 400 people in 17 locations spread over 13 countries, covering 4 continents. At least 1 in every 2 employees is a diver and in several countries over 80% are divers, and over a third are instructors. SCUBAPRO UWATEC is part of Johnson Outdoors Inc.
