The Mares Prestige 15X Regulator is all about being a reliability, compactness and high performance which are all features that the divers have learned to love about Mares Regulators over the years. The Prestige 15X is an excellent balance between performance and affordability.
The 15X first stage is lightweight and compact with a balance diaphragm design that delivers great performance thanks to Mares' Dynamic Flow Control (DFC) that optimises the air flow for the second stage ports and minimises intermediate pressure drop for a smooth breathe. The 15X high-pressure valve uses their Advanced Coating Technology (ACT) to create a valve that is much more durable.
The Prestige is a mid-size second stage made from ultralight techno-polymer which is an abrasion resistant plastic. The lightweight second stage uses a downstream valve that is enhanced using Mares' Vortex Assisted Design (VAD). VAD uses a bypass tube to deliver air directly to the mouthpiece but at the same time create a vortex which helps to draw the diaphragm inwards, improving the valve response and opening it further for improved gas flow.
The second stage is fitted with a large purge button and a compact exhaust deflector on the back. The two stages are joined via a flexible braided low-pressure hose.

The new valve in the “X” systems increases durability by an astounding 600%, even under the most extreme conditions.
VAD - Vortex Assisted Design
The air bypass tube delivers air to the mouthpiece creating a swirling vortex with a low pressure area in the center that keeps the diaphragm down during inhalation, for very sensitive and easy breathing at all depths.
Extreme light weight and exceptional softness guarantee the maximum freedom of movement.
DFC - Dynamic Flow Control
Minimizes intermediate pressure drop during inhalation thus maximizing gas delivery, especially under extreme conditions.
Fluid Dynamic Deflector
Receives and properly directs the airflow from the bypass tube to the mouthpiece.
